PPD Task 3 - Samples of work

Henrik Steen Karlsen - portfolio

Neat, clean-cut stylings complete with some sort of silver foil stamp presumably to create those shiny logo parts. Pretty nice touch; livens up what would otherwise be quite a clinical-looking range of products.

Gary Corr - self-promotional mailer

Cool idea for a mailer, creating an infographic representation of himself which enables the studios to get a pretty reasonable idea of what they guy is like. I suppose it is made in quite a cliched design style but undoubtedly it has worked/will work.

Riccardo Sabatini - CV

Very attention-grabbing repeated pattern on the cover of this guy's CV; it definitely gives the impression of being some kind of professional publication, which I suppose is useful if you want to be taken seriously. The other pages however were slightly cluttered and full of information...maybe too full.

Gary Corr - promotional rock

A very sweet idea....

Shanning Wan - CSS Resume

Kind of an obvious idea for a web designer/developer, but someone had to do it...The advantages are it is pretty obvious the designer has some idea of coding; however it is unclear whether they can put together an efficient website or not....

Flore Mazzonetto - Self-promotion portfolio

Quite an expensive-looking self-promotional portfolio, I imagine she hasn't made a massive number of copies; I reckon it's one of those what you would take down a studio or take to a coffee shop when you meet a respectable designer.
